Dear Editor: What a weekend! The Tri-City Empowerment Council 3-Day Restoration Foundation Celebration was nothing short of amazing. From the smooth R&B vibes of 2ONE Soul on Friday night continuing with soul-stirring gospel music and laughter at Saturday’s Gospel Fest and ending with beautiful fellowship at Sunday’s Church Picnic, every moment was filled with joy, community, love and celebration.
A special thank you to the City of Cuero Hot Funds for your help in awarding us with a grant that helped fund this event. Thank you to everyone who joined us including all of our vendors, and our performers (2ONE Soul, Christopher Spivey & Company Choir, Hazel Marie, Izzy, Devyn Whittington, and Chester D.T. Baldwin & Choir), who made this weekend unforgettable.
Your presence and energy made it truly special and we are looking forward to next year. Let’s keep the spirit of restoration, community, and faith alive in everything we do.
De’Vonna Eldridge Tri-City Empowerment Dear Editor, On behalf of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to the community of Cuero and all of our generous sponsors for making this year’s Concert for Classrooms a resounding success.
This annual event is more than just an evening of entertainment— it’s a celebration of education and community. This year’s Concert for Classrooms featured ABBAMANIA, the world’s premier ABBA tribute band, bringing the crowd to its feet with timeless hits. We’re deeply grateful to the businesses, individuals, and organizations whose generous support made the night possible and continues to help the Foundation enhance educational opportunities for Cuero ISD students, teachers, and staff.
Part of the funds raised from this event help support innovative classroom grants and student programs. These grants allow our educators to go above and beyond the standard curriculum, providing students with enriching experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. From purchasing new educational materials to funding special projects, these grants have a lasting impact on the educational experience of students in Cuero ISD.
This event would not be possible without the support of our community. Your participation helps shape a brighter future for our students and ensures that our local schools continue to be places where young minds can grow, learn, and thrive.
We would also like to acknowledge the tireless work of the volunteers, organizers and board members. Your dedication to ensuring the success of Concert for Classrooms is truly appreciated, and we are grateful for the time, energy, and effort you put into making this event a reality.
In addition to the immediate impact on our classrooms, a portion of the funds raised through Concert for Classrooms also help secure the long-term sustainability of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation. By providing a steady stream of resources, we are able to continue our work year after year, funding initiatives that improve the quality of education in Cuero ISD.
We also want to extend our gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the event. Your generosity helps us continue to make a difference in the lives of Cuero ISD students. Together, we are creating a community where education is valued, supported, and celebrated.
With sincere appreciation, Darwin Koenning-President, Cuero ISD Education Foundation
