RTICLE The Cuero ISD Education Foundation hosted another unforgettable Concert for Classrooms at the Cuero ISD Performing Arts Center featuring ABBAMANIA, the world’s #1 ABBA tribute band on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The crowd was entertained throughout the night as ABBA-ABBAMANIA MANIA delivered hit after hit with dazzling vocals and lively stage presence. The group kept the audience laughing and dancing—all while going out into the crowd several times and even bringing the City of Cuero Mayor up on stage to sing and dance along. At one point, the band had some fun with a couple of cowboys in the audience, borrowing a cowboy hat and adding a little Texas flair to their signature ABBA style.
“It was a fantastic evening,” said Darwin Koenning, Cuero ISD Education Foundation Board President. “ABBAMANIA was an incredibly entertaining group, and the energy in the room was contagious. We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to support the Foundation and help make this event a success.”
The annual Concert for Classrooms is more than just a night of fun—it helps support local education. A portion of funds raised go toward teacher grants, innovative classroom projects, student scholarships, and enrichment programs that directly benefit Cuero ISD students.
“We couldn’t do this without the continued support of our community,” Koenning added. “Every ticket sold helps us provide opportunities and resources that make a real difference in our classrooms.”
As for what’s next, the Foundation is already looking ahead. “We’re narrowing down the possibilities for next year’s band,” Koenning shared. “We can’t say much yet, but we can promise everyone will be in for a great time at the 2026 Concert for Classrooms.”
