Hello my Fellow Cueroites, Shout out to Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation (Jennifer Wilson) and Whispering Oaks Nursing (Colin Fry) for allowing Myself and Veterans from the American Legion and VFW to come into their facility’s and personally thanking the Veteran residents, what an honor for us to shake hands with these Heroes, all total 16 Veterans were honored. I reminded everyone next year, July 4, 2026 will be the Nation’s 250th birthday, plans are already underway for a spectacular celebration in Cuero.
I was surprised and honored by the 3rd grade class at the Boys and Girls Club writing the mayor thank you letters for my military service, thank you Ms. Pokulada for permission to come by today, Monday November 17 and thank the class.
On Friday the Gobblers were awesome defeating the La Feria Lions to move on this Friday in Yoakum against the Gonzales Apaches, please come out and support OUR Gobblers as they continue the endeavor to another State Championship, I plan on supporting the team, what an honor.
The Dewitt County Historical Society conducted an outstanding program yesterday, November 16, highlighting the Green-Dewitt settlement and the significance of its contributions to the area and Texas History, well done, shout out to Ms. Peggy Ledbetter and the staff. Thanksgiving is next week, we should all be grateful for Family, Friends and health. More to follow, have an awesome week!!
