The Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum Board of Directors hosted a Celebration of Life for Robert L. Oliver on Nov. 1 on the lawn of the Proctor Green House beneath the sprawling heritage oak trees. Community leaders, friends, colleagues, and members of the Oliver family gathered to remember and honor Oliver’s life and legacy. As founder and board chairman for 25 years, Oliver’s dedication, investment and leadership left a lasting impact on the museum’s growth and on historic preservation efforts in Cuero and DeWitt County. His legacy will continue to resonate for generations.
