Texas Arbor Day Dedication

The Cuero Tree Board in conjunction with Texas Arbor Day will be dedicating two benches overlooking the 70 trees that were planted this spring. The benches are located in the Cuero Municipal Park along the walking trail behind the Little League fields where walkers can relax and enjoy the beauty of the grove of trees. The program is at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov 21. Texas A&M Forestry Service will give a short program on Texas Arbor Day.

Yorktown Fall Festival 

The Yorktown Fall Festival will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, in the afternoon and evening at Yorktown City Park from 4 to 5:30 p.m. An outdoor movie will start at 5:30 p.m.

Community Thanksgiving Service 

The Cuero Ministerial Alliance will host a community- wide Thanksgiving service on Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. at Cuero Assembly of God Church located at 201 W. Reuss Blvd., Cuero. 

Cowboy Claus

Applications for this year’s Cowboy Claus are now available! Pick up your’s at the Yorktown Western Days Office, 141 S Riedel St. in Yorktown or at Yorktown City Hall, 119 E Main St. Completed applications must be turned in by Friday, Nov. 28, at 4p.m.

Woodman Cemetery Association 

A Revitalizing Woodman Cemetery Community Worship and Praise Service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church at 400 Grant St. in Cuero at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Eddie Ellis, Adams Chapel AME Church, of Harker Heights. There will be a service full of spiritual singing, the Word and much more. CEU Event

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of DeWitt County, DeWitt County Beef and Forage Committee and Cuero Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture are sponsoring a 6 Hour CEU Event to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The program will be held at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, located in the Cuero City Park attached to the Friar Ag Center. Registration will take place 7 to 8 a.m. with the program starting promptly at 8 a.m. Participants need to RSVP to attend this event, as there will be a noon meal. RSVP to the De-Witt Co. Extension Office by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Please be sure to show up early enough to allow time for registration 

Holy Catholic Daughters Annual Santa Cafe & Craft Fair 

Vendors are invited to showcase and sell their products at the Holy Cross Catholic Daughters Annual Santa Café and Craft Fair, taking place at the Yorktown Community Hall on Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each 8x10 space is available for $50; contact the organizers by email to reserve your spot by emailing: holycrossyorktowncraftshow@ gmail.com or [email protected] This event features local vendors selling crafts, gifts, and homemade goods.

Library/Crown Hospice Senior Social Hour 

Crown Hospice is holding a Senior Social Hour at the Yorktown Public Library on the 1st Monday of every month. The social hour begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public. Bingo, prizes and snacks are all provided free of charge. The hosts look forward to you attending.

AA Meetings

AA meets every Monday and Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Cuero Public Library.

Unity Prayer

Family Storytime

Every Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. the Cuero Municipal Library has Family Storytime.

This engaging program features crafts, snacks, stories, and fun activities tailored for children aged 0-5.

DeWitt County Shutterbugs

Do you love photography? Do you want to learn more, be inspired, challenged? Do you want to get together with other creative photographers? If so, please join us at a Shutterbugs meeting. Meetings are held on every third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Cuero Public Library in Cuero, 207 E. Main St. All ages and levels are welcome. Senior Coffee Hour & Social
