Revival
The Cuero Assembly of God invites the community to attend a revival on Sunday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. On Monday, July 8, the revival continues at 7 p.m. with Miracle Monday.
Come and see what God is going to do. Evangelist Rev. Steven Mcknight from Louisiana will be preaching.

Paul Weise Family Reunion
The Paul Weise Family Reunion will be held Sunday, July 7, at the DeWitt County Vietnam Veterans Center in Yorktown. Registration begins at 10 a.m. A potluck lunch will be served at noon. Family members are encouraged to bring an item(s) for the family auction fundraiser.
FBC Yorktown holding Bible Alive in July
FBC Yorktown will offer a week of fun and Bible teaching at BIBLE ALIVE the week of July 8-12, 9:00 am to Noon. Not only will they learn Old Testament stories, they will learn why Old Testament stories are in the Bible; as well as music, crafts, games, and snacks.
This year's topic is Moses.

Lifeway Church Pop-Up Vacation Bible Schools, 5:30-8 p.m. each evening: Wednesday, July 10 - Daule Park; Thursday, July 11 - Alexander Park; Friday, July 12 - Cuero City Park. Ages 3-5th grade.

CRH Holding Blood Drive
Cuero Regional Hospital will be hosting a blood drive for the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center in the Education Classroom on Thursday, July 18th, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Anyone who is 16 years old weighing 120 pounds (with parental consent form), or at least 17 years old weighing 110 pounds, and in good general health can donate blood. Bade-Reinhardt Reunion
The reunion will be held July 20 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 11220 FM 237, in Meyersville. The building opens at 10 a.m. with a covered dish luncheon at noon. Please bring a meat dish and a side dish or dessert. All paper goods furnished.

Substitute Training
The Cuero ISD will hold its substitute training on Tuesday, July 23, at 9 a.m. in the Cuero ISD Administration Office located at 960 East Broadway, Cuero. This training will provide individuals wishing to work in the classroom, cafeteria, or driving a bus with information necessary for success. All substitutes must attend this training. New applicants need to bring a copy of their social security card, driver’s license, and transcript or diploma to the training as well. Applications available at www.cueroisd.org.

Bingo, Burgers & Beer
To encourage networking for Chamber members this summer, The Cuero Chamber of Commerce is hosting a mixer at Cuero Country Club on Wednesday, July 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with the theme “Bingo, Burgers & Beer.”
Tickets for Cuero Chamber members are $25 each and non-members may attend with a $30 ticket. This mixer will include great networking, drinks (including cold beer), delicious burgers and bingo at the Cuero Country Club Grille. Casino Night
On Friday, Aug. 2, The Venue will be transformed into a Vegas-style casino as the Cuero Chamber hosts its Casino Night fundraiser (with a Kentucky Derby theme) from 7 p.m. until midnight. This event aims to raise funds for scholarships and future building renovations. From 7 - 9:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy a Vegas-style casino games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Texas Hold’em and more. Then, Stephanie Ross and the Southern Drive Band will take the stage and play until midnight. Tickets are $50 per person and include $2,000 in gaming chips, appetizers, two drink tickets for keg beer or wine, and live entertainment. Reserved tables of eight are $500 each.

World Series of Cuero Texas Hold’em
The World Series of Cuero will be held Aug. 3 at The Venue on Church Street with check-in and registration beginning at 10:30 a.m. The World Series of Cuero player registration fee of $100, which includes $10,000 in chips for the main event, lunch, refreshments and spirits. If Texas Hold'em is your game, then Cuero is the place to be on Aug. 3 for the 16th Annual World Series of Cuero Texas Hold 'em event!
Shoppers Poker Run The Shoppers Poker Run returns on Saturday, Aug. 3, with registration at 11a.m. and shopping until 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 each and include a delicious lunch and shopping galore in Cuero. Each ticket holder will receive a punch card and map to participating shops.
Shoppers Poker Run
They will receive a hole punch on their card for every $20 spent. Once shopping wraps at 3:30 p.m., players will return to The Venue by 4 p.m. to receive a poker card for each hole punch received, with five hole punches equalling a poker hand. The top 10 hands will play the final table and the top 10 winners will receive a payout.
Murder at the Masquerade
A masquerade murder mystery dinner event to benefit the Friends of DeWitt County Children will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. at The Venue on Church Street in Cuero.

Preschool Tours
Grace Episcopal School is the newest preschool in Cuero opening in August 2024. Personal tours are being offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 1-4:00 pm. Grace Episcopal School is a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church.

Cuero VFW Post 3972 has resumed weekly games of Bingo at the Post Home. Games will begin at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds of these games benefit local charities, youth, and veterans in need. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Child Find Evaluations
Child Find Evaluations School districts must ensure that a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) is provided for children who are identified as needing special education and related services. Child Find is a process to identify, locate, and evaluate individuals from birth to 21 years of age who may need special education and related services. Evaluations for Cuero, Meyersville, Nursery and Westhoff ISD’s are available through Child Find. Early childhood intervention programs serve children with developmental delays and their families. Eligibility is determined through a team assessment by program staff.

Meals on Wheels Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals in the central DeWitt County area for Meals on Wheels South Texas. Meals are delivered once a week on Wednesdays from about 11 a.m. to noon. If you are interested in volunteering you can go to mowstx.org or email [email protected].
