Keep Cuero Beautiful will host its yearly recycling project for students in K-1st grade and 2nd-4th grades this holiday season.
“Something from Nothing” encourages students to reuse materials in a creative way for ornaments used decorating their tree during the holidays. “
“The top entries will receive gift cards to local restaurants”, said Acenet Davis, co chairman of the contest.
Entry forms are available at the Cuero Public Library, 207 E Main, or at the students’ schools with drop off of finished ornaments at the library by Friday, Dec. 5 by p.m.. Once judged, ornaments will be displayed on the tree in the Cuero Public Library from Dec. 10–Jan. 2.
For more information contact Katelynn at the Cuero Public Library, KCB cochairman, who noted the quality of last year’s entries.
“Last year’s entries certainly were creative in the students’ re-use of materials.,” she said. “We look forward to having more entries this year doing the same”.
