The Yorktown Lady Kats basketball team secured a strong 45– 30 victory at home over McMullen County Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Leading the scoring charge were Gracie Stehling, who posted an impressive 18 points, and Palyn Koopmann, who added 16. Beyond the scoring column, Clair Person, Riley Krueger, Paige Deleon, and Trinity Flores made their presence known through tough rebounding, relentless defense, and allout hustle.
The energy extended beyond the court as well—the bench remained vocal and supportive, contributing to what Coach David Farber described as a complete team win.. It was powered by a standout offensive performances and a total-team effort, he said.
“The girls are not only learning their own strengths and weaknesses but also their teammates on the court with them,” Coach David Farber said. “Mastering this leads to a successful season.”
Yorktown’s performance showcased growing chemistry and determination as they continue building momentum for the season ahead, Farber noted.
