The UIL announced their realignment numbers concerning classifications for the 20262028 school years.
The UIL uses the high school enrollment numbers to determine which classification schools will be placed in for their UIL activities. Football has their own numbers, and then the rest of the sports have their numbers.
The new realignment number for football for 4A-DII is 550 - 895. Cuero HS (2024-2025) enrollment was 642, which if the numbers stay around the same Cueto will remain in this division.
The new realignment numbers for football for 2A-DII is 105 -175.5. 143 students for Yorktown (2024-2025) High School enrollment was 143. If the numbers stay around the same, Yorktown will remain in their Division.
Feb. 2 will be the day enrollment numbers are taken. So the official realignment number will be out then.
