Here’s little Willie a new pup at Pet Adoptions of Cuero surrounded by some wonderful “pet gifts” recently brought to the shelter. Wrapped or unwrapped, the local nonprofit pet rescue is so appreciative of any pet related present.
The chewy type bars or sticks, milkbones or other crunchy treats are often not in the shelter’s budget. Likewise the cats would love wet canned food or Temptations type crunchy treats for a tasty change up in their diet.
There are a variety of snack items that look like bacon or pepperoni that puppies would really enjoy. The shelter also loves “presents” of daily needed items like laundry detergent, 409 type cleaners, Mr. Clean concentrate for the floors and Dawn dish soap for flea baths, paper towels, and white drawstring trash bags. And there never is enough clumping type sand donated for all the cat litter boxes.
One company that stands out for their wonderful indirect donations is the Chewy Pet Supply company. Customers order off their extensive website. However if a customer realizes they have ordered the wrong item and call to return it, Chewy kindly suggests they instead donate it to a non profit pet shelter like PAOC. Love this generous company’s philosophy.
But overall any donated cat or dog food is so appreciated and welcomed at Pet Adoptions of Cuero, located at 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero. The shelter is open every day of the year from 8 am till 12 noon or call for a late afternoon appointment: 361-243-8550.
Donations can always be dropped over the fence and staffers will retrieve it. PAOC wants to sincerely thank the surrounding communities for stepping up with donations, support and supplies for the 501c3 non profit pet rescue all year long.
