Hello, my fellow Cueroites: I made a phone call to my fellow Mayor Brother, Carl O’Neil, in Yoakum, the other day to congratulate the Yoakum Bulldogs on the State 3A D1 High School Football Championship, the first title in 100 years, well done gentlemen.
On Dec.17, the Mayor’s Youth Council received a motivational, question and answer session from San Antonio aspiring actress, Ms. Rylie Ridriquez. The event was well attended and well received. Thank you, Rylie. A tour of the Pharmaceutical and Chisholm Trail museums, the Youth Council meeting and a hayride through Cuero’s Christmas in the Park made her day, she mentioned she would be back.
The City Christmas luncheon was held on Dec. 16, and numerous employees received service pins. Ms. Jennifer Vinson in Accounts Payable was named the City of Cuero Employee of the Year. Congratulations ,Jennifer. The holidays have been filled with family events and making memories. I am wishing all my fellow Cueroites and their Families a prosperous new year. Please be safe.
