LaVaca Democratic Women rally
The DeWitt LaVaca Democratic Women will sponsor a rally to commemorate the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the United States Capitol. This event will honor those who died as a result of the insurrection. Likewise, it will honor Capitol police officers seeking to protect the Capitol and Congressional leaders meeting at the time. Those seeking to join the rally will meet at the De-Witt County courthouse grounds at 4:30 on Jan. 6. The event will then take place at the corner of Esplanade and Broadway in Cuero. Women, men, and youth are all invited to attend. Nordheim FFA Stock Show Weigh-In
The Nordheim FFA Stock Show will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Nordheim FFA Show Barn. On Saturday, Jan. 10, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., a mandatory weigh-in will take place. This is the last regular weigh-in to be held before the official weigh-in on Jan. 30. All Stock Show entries are to meet at the Show Barn for this mandatory weigh-in.
