GOD first...Heavenly Father, when we go to bed at night, we expect to wake up the next day to one that will be full of new experiences, bright sunshine, and everything will go well. Expectations often change outcomes, dark days, and unfilled promises. Lord, we only ask, that while we know we will have days of mixed both good and bad, help us and guide us with Your Holy Spirit, to the many blessings and days of kindness as we pray in the name of our dear savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Pray for those who are ill, suffering, grieving, or are in harm’s way and pray for rain too.
Joke Time: You know you are old when: You write a note to yourself reminding not to take a sleeping pill on the same night you take laxative. When the candles cost more than the cake. When you cough, fart, sneeze, and pee at the same time.
On the last day of Jan. 31st, the Nordheim FFA Stock Show will be full of activities with animals, food, crafts, arts, and a model show. While the animals have not been in the final stage of weight restrictions, GVEC will sponsor the Nordheim ISD food, craft, art, and model show. There are rules for entry forms and students need to observe the deadline date and qualifications.
They are: Students must be enrolled in NISD and in compliance with No-Pass No-Play and in attendance requirements. All items for show are to be originally prepared and shown solely by the students. Only one item per category may be entered in the show. All entry forms are to be turned into front office for approval no later than 3:30 p.m. the Tuesday before the show. Your name may not appear on any item you are showing, or the item will be disqualified.

Kaffee Klatch this week had a group of 12 people showing up. Sometimes it was hard to keep up with three conversations going on at the same time. But one of them asked if anyone still played dominos. There were three of us that were interested, and we are trying to find another player. Time and place were discussed, but it’s hard to play 42 with just 3 people, I guess.
