The Cuero ISD Education Foundation has opened its 2026 scholarship application period, giving eligible Cuero High School graduating seniors and alumni the opportunity to apply for financial support as they continue their educational journeys.
All applications are available online only and must be submitted by March 3.
This year, the Foundation has enhanced the application process by simplifying forms and streamlining requirements, making it easier for students and families to navigate. Applicants can now preview all required documents in advance, allowing them to prepare materials before beginning the application.
Students must complete the appropriate online application based on their classification. Scholarship categories include Cuero High School graduating seniors, Vocational and Technical applicants from the CHS Class of 2026, and Alumni from the CHS Classes of 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022. Alumni applicants are eligible to apply only for the Fischer “Helping Hands” Scholarship.
To support applicants throughout the process, the Cuero ISD Education Foundation website offers detailed resources for each scholarship category. Available materials include required document lists, a letter of recommendation template, and a student evaluation form for graduating seniors and vocational or technical applicants. Applicants are encouraged to review all materials carefully before starting the application, as the online form must be completed in one sitting and cannot be saved for later completion.
“All of the resources are available online so students and families can take their time preparing before they apply,” said Darwin Koenning, president of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation. “Our goal is to remove unnecessary barriers and make the scholarship process as clear and manageable as possible while continuing to support students as they pursue their educational goals.”
Koenning encouraged eligible students to begin preparing early and submit applications well before the deadline.
