Local donates granddaughter’s novel to Cuero Municipal Library

Man about town Larry Nuckels who regularly photographs social gatherings and is active in the museums and the American Legion, recently donated a new novel written by his granddaughter to the Cuero Municipal Library.

Nuckels presented the book, “A Heart to Judge” by P. Eby to the CML Board of Directors at their meeting Jan. 8. The book is a self-published “fantasy mystery with a slight bit of romance” novel, according to the promotional material. It also notes that Eby has an “impressive imagination and heart that is clearly shown” in the pages of the book.

The plot involves a well-renowned detective traveling to the fictional Clarten to solve a baffling serial killer case while grappling with unexpected romantic feelings for a mysterious woman.

Nuckels noted how proud he and his wife, Barbara, are of their granddaughter, Paige Eby, 19, who is an English major at Blinn College in Bryan for completing her first book.

“She and her siblings have spent a lot of time in Cuero. They have attended cowboy camps at the Chisholm Trail Museum and enjoy all of Cueros museums,” Nuckels said. “They love K&N root beer floats. They also enjoy shopping with their MiMI at Cueros boutiques.”
