‘Rise of LULAC’ Lecture

Dr. Cynthia E. Orozco, the National LULAC Historian and resident of Cuero, will give a lecture at the Coastal Bend Museum at Victoria Community College Thursday, Jan. 29, at 5:30 p.m. The subject is “The Rise of LULAC and the Mexican American Civil Rights Movement in Victoria, and Wharton area, 1929-2026.” LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) is this nation’s oldest civic, charitable, and civil rights organization founded in Corpus Christi in 1929.
