Westhoff ISD breaks ground on new soccer field

Westhoff Independent School District is excited to announce the construction of a new soccer field, marking an important step forward in expanding athletic opportunities for students and strengthening community pride.

Construction on the new field officially began on Jan. 22, and the project reflects the district’s growing commitment to offering students a wellrounded educational experience that includes strong extracurricular programs.

The soccer field will be regulation size and built using TifTuff Bermuda sod, a highquality, durable turf known for its excellent playability and resilience in Texas weather conditions. Once completed, the field will provide a top-tier playing surface for training, competition, and community events.

“Our goal is to generate enough interest to support both a boys’ and girls’ soccer team,” district officials shared. “This field represents more than just new grass and goals—it represents opportunity, student engagement, and a chance for our athletes to compete and grow.”

The addition of soccer at Westhoff ISD is expected to attract student interest, encourage participation from current and prospective families, and further enhance the district’s athletic offerings. Soccer continues to grow in popularity across the state, and Westhoff ISD is proud to invest in facilities that support that momentum.

As construction progresses, the district looks forward to welcoming students, families, and community members to cheer on future Westhoff soccer teams and celebrate this exciting new chapter.
