The Texas Archive of the Moving Image (TAMI) announces the launch of its latest web exhibit, “Festival Season: Texas Celebrations on Film,” which includes Cuero’s Turkeyfest.

It goes live Jan. 30 at: https://texasarchive. org/festivalseason The exhibit features promotional films, documentaries, television news coverage, and home movies that portrays how Texans parade, dance, listen to music, and eat in both state-wide events like the State Fair of Texas and smaller community celebrations such as the Great Texas Mosquito Festival, the Poteet Strawberry Festival, and the Luling Watermelon Thump.

Festival Season: Texas Celebrations on Film includes footage from more than 40 Texas communities, including Arlington, Austin, Bastrop, Beaumont, Boerne, Brenham, Brownsville, Clute, Crockett, Crosby, Corpus Christi, Cuero, Dallas, El Paso, Ennis, Farwell, Fredericksburg, Galveston, Glen Rose, Grapeland, Kemah, Kerrville, Lampasas, La Porte, Laredo, Luckenbach, Luling, Midland, Mission, New Braunfels, Odessa, Paris, Poteet, Port Arthur, Round Rock, Rowena, San Angelo, San Antonio, Smithville, Stonewall, Terlingua, Todd Mission, Turkey, Tyler, Waxahachie, West Columbia, Wichita Falls, and Woodville.
