It’s definitely Puppy Extravaganza time at Pet Adoptions of Cuero.
Over 12 new pups arrived recently from four different litters. It’s no secret that pups keep the shelter super super busy — the cleaning, feeding, bathing, vet trips etc. means there is little time for the small staff to exercise and socialize. And no one wants to adopt a feral, unfriendly pup.

St. Michael’s Catholic School fourth- and fifth graders came to the shelter’s rescue this week. They planned a playdate for all the new pups. The students walked, tossed toys, played tug of war, taught them to climb ramps , fetch and of course appreciate all the belly rubs.
There were 12 very happy pups with all the love, attention, pets and cuddles the students were able to bestow on the young canines. In addition the student body sponsored a pet shelter supply drive to help with the cleaning needs, pet treats and items not usually in the shelter’s budget. Thank you to the St. Michael’s School team for their support and care for Pet Adoptions of Cuero.
