The Pilot Club of Cuero hosted a memorable and meaningful Head Over Heels Gala on Feb. 14, bringing together community members for an evening filled with fellowship, celebration, and purpose. This was their 12th annual fundraising event, raising awareness of brain-related injuries and disorders.
Guests gathered to enjoy a beautifully decorated setting that captured the spirit of Valentine’s Day — a night centered not only on love, but on service. The event featured delicious food by Mad Batter’s own, Britani Quinn, lively entertainment by the amazing Broken Alibi and Total Entertainment, and an atmosphere of warmth and connection. From the moment attendees arrived, they were welcomed into a celebration that reflected the heart of Pilot: Friendship and Service.

The evening also served as an important fundraiser to support the club’s ongoing projects and community initiatives. Proceeds from the gala will benefit local programs focused on youth leadership development, brain health awareness, scholarships, and community outreach efforts throughout the year.
A special highlight of the evening was the outstanding support from local students. Members of the affiliated youth organization, Cuero Anchor Club, along with students from the National Honor Society, graciously assisted throughout the night. These young leaders helped serve meals, clear tables, remove trash, and stepped in wherever needed. Their willingness to serve with such professionalism and enthusiasm was a true reflection of the next generation of community leadership “We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by our community,” said Dawn Draper, Pilot Club member. “Events like this allow us to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
The Pilot Club extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make the evening so special. With continued community support, the club looks forward to another year of service, leadership, and a positive impact.
