The Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) has named De Witt County Human Resources Director Ashley Hunt the Southeast Region recipient of its 2025 Making a Difference Award.
Presented annually as part of the TAC RMP Awards Program, the Making a Difference Award honors county officials and employees who demonstrate exceptional leadership in risk management and loss prevention.
As HR director, Hunt elevated De Witt County’s safety culture through strategic leadership and collaboration. She led the County Safety Committee, started a policy review committee and implemented key performance indicators and an accident prevention plan.
Her initiatives improved operational consistency, reduced liability and boosted cyber resilience.
TAC RMP selects one Making a Difference Award recipient from each of its four regions. Other 2025 honorees are: Bosque County Auditor and Human Resources Director Darcie Ragsdale (Northeast Region) Wichita County Judge Jim Johnson (Northwest Region) Duval County Tax Assessor-Collector Roberto Elizondo (Southwest Region) TAC RMP will recognize the recipients at a luncheon during the annual TAC County Management and Risk Conference, to be held March 31April 2 in Williamson County.
