Democratic Party officials said early voter turnout for their candidates is double what it has been in the previous two election cycles in 2022 and 2024, according to the Texas Tribune.
Likewise, the Texas Tribune also noted higher Republican turnout compared to previous midterm elections, despite being behind Democrats by a small margin.
The stronger voter turnout is being attributed to high profile campaigns in both Republican and Democratic U.S. Senate races spending millions of dollars in Texas.
