The 2026 Nordheim Stock Show raised about $240,000, according to Nordheim Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Adviser Robert Sager.
“Nordheim is living proof that greatness and generosity are still alive and well in our small communities,” Sager said.
In other stock show news, Bryce Tessmann placed 10th at the Fort Worth Stock Show, earning a spot in the sale. Tessa Garcia placed a lamb 5th at the San Antonio Stock earning a sale spot as well, and she also placed a breeding ewe 4th in the breeding show.
Lizzy Guinn placed 2nd in the open heifer show and 3rd in the junior heifer show at San Antonio. Closer to home, Ellyn Warwas placed 4th in the Cuero pen of the heifer show.
Outside the show ring, Cody Jones, Layne Wisian and Zach Narajio were able to take 1st place at the area tractor tech contest and are heading to state on March 8. This will make the fifth trip to the state contest for the Nordheim FFA in tractor tech. Congratulations to these members and good luck as they move forward this spring.
Nordheim FFA earned a blue ribbon with a 12-foot trailer and an offset bbq pit at the San Antonio Ag Mech Show. It was a great job by Jacob Torres Maverick Eckhardt, Nick Serna, Cody Jones, Layne Wisian, and Mayson Buch. Both projects will be raffled off through Nordheim FFA alumni to support the program.
