Yorktown ISD hosted its annual Wildcat relays track meet March 12.
Along with Yorktown, eleven other schools participated: Charlotte, Freer, Hallettsville Sacred Heart, Kenedy, Nixon-Smiley, Nordheim, Prairie Lea, San Marcos Academy, Shiner St. Paul, Waelder, and Woodsboro.
In the varsity girls division, the Kitty Kats placed 2nd overall to Shiner St. Paul. Here are the varsity girls results: Paige Deleon - 4x200m Relay (4th), High Jump (4th); Hope Everitt - Discus (5th); Trinity Flores - 4x400m Relay (1st), Triple Jump (1st), Long Jump (2nd), 4x100m Relay (6th); Taylor Gips - 4x200m Relay (4th), 4x100m Relay (6th); Palyn Koopmann - 4x400m Relay (1st), 100m Hurdles (1st), 300m Hurdles (3rd); Avery Martin - 4x400m Relay (1st), Long Jump (3rd), 4x200m Relay (4th), 4x100m Relay (6th); Claire Person 4x400m Relay (1st), 4x200m Relay (4th), Triple Jump (5th), 4x100m Relay (6th); Vivan Romans - 800m Run (4th); Hayle Russell - Pole Vault (2nd); Serena Villarreal 1600m Run (3rd), 800m Run (5th).
In the JV girls division, Diana Moscova placed 1st in the 800m Run and 3rd in the 1600m Run.
In the varsity boys division, the Wildcats tied for 3rd overall.
