The Cuero Chamber of Commerce will host the Red, White & Blue Wildflower Crawfish Fest on Saturday, March 28, in historic downtown Cuero along Main Street.
The family-friendly event will feature a full day of activities including an artisan market, wildflower trolley tours, a crawfish boil, live music, food trucks and family entertainment.
The Cuero Main Street Artisan Market will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering handmade goods, local art and unique items from local makers and vendors.
Wildflower Trolley Tours will depart at 10 a.m. and noon. Tickets are $45 per person and include a guided ride through historic Cuero with views of local wildflowers and historical sites. Guests will also receive a swag bag and mimosas to enjoy along the way. Space is limited and early reservations are encouraged.
Beginning at noon, the crawfish boil will kickofffeaturingcrawfish from Katy Prairie Crawfish. Plates include three pounds of crawfish with sausage, corn and potatoes for $30 presale or $35 the day of the event. Family packs will be available for $80, and an additional pound of crawfish can be added for $10. Crawfish will be served from noon until 5 p.m. or until sold out.
Additional food trucks will also be on site throughout the day.
Family activities will include a bounce house for children and an Antique Car Show scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m.
Live entertainment, sponsored by 5D Tavern, will begin at 5 p.m. with Shane & Renee Total Entertainment, followed by Stephanie Ross.
Angie Cuellar, executive director of the Cuero Chamber of Commerce, said the event is shaping up to be a fun day for both residents and visitors. “We’re hoping for good wildflower sightings, but Texas weather doesn’t always cooperate,” Cuellar said. “The trolley tours will still be a great experience with historical stops if the flowers aren’t at their peak. We’re also hopeful for another strong turnout, and with the addition of the Crawfish Fest this year, we’re excited to welcome some new faces to downtown Cuero.”
Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, explore the downtown shops and enjoy a full day of food, music and community in Cuero.
