DeWitt County Historical Commission Chairwoman Peggy Ledbetter presents Yorktown ISD history teacher Valton Acree with a picture of the “Lives Remembered” program from last year on March 25. The picture, which was a thank you gift for his students participating in the program, was placed in an antique frame donated by Shanna Burge, who is a member of the Historical Commission and who along with Betty Burda, helped to involve the Yorktown history students in the program.
