Yorktown tracksters ready for District
Wildcat senior Ryan Knostman broke the longest standing track record at the Karnes County Invitational Track Meet. The record was set in 1964 by Rodney Strattman who threw 50’9.25”. Knostman broke it on March 26, 2026, with a throw of 50’10.25”.

Over the past few weeks, the Yorktown High School Kitty Kat and Wildcat track participated in a couple of track meets, as they get ready for the District 31-2A Track Meet in Kenedy, Texas, on April 9.

Last week on March 26, Yorktown participated in the Karnes County Invitational Track Meet in Kenedy. Here are the medalists: Varsity Girls: Paige Deleon - 4x400m Relay (1st); Trinity Flores - Triple Jump (1st), Long Jump (1st), 4x400m Relay (1st); Palyn Koopmann - 4x400m Relay (1st), 100m Hurdles (2nd), 300m Hurdles (2nd); Claire Person 4x400m Relay (1st), Triple Jump (3rd).

JV Girls: Diana Mockova - 800m Run (3rd).
