The 20th Annual Catfish Roundup for Disabled Youth of DeWitt County was held at Cuero City Park Lake Thursday, April 23. It was sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, DeWitt County 4-H, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Serve Outdoors, Inc. and the City of Cuero. It started at 8 a.m. and a hotdog lunch was served at noon to the children. Catfish were released into the lake two days before the event, and a net was stretched in the lake to contain the fish in the fishing area. The fish that were caught ended up in ice chests to be saved for a fish fry later. Photos by Larry Nuckels
