Elections for Cuero Independent School District and Yorktown Independent School District Boards of Trustees will be held Saturday, May 2.
Early voting began April 20 and ended April 28.
In CISD, there are candidates vying for Single Member Districts 3 and 4.
In District 3 the candidates are Cindy Lange and incumbent Wanda M. Campbell Prince Zuniga. In District 4 the candidates are Jason Collier and incumbent Justin Cooper.
In YISD, there are five candidates competing for four seats on the board. They are Jennifer Franke, Benjamin Hahn, Tyler Lemke, Manuel Macias Jr. and John Young. Young is the only non-incumbent.
Elections in all other school districts, cities and Cuero Regional Hospital in DeWitt County were cancelled due to lack of contested races.
Polling locations for both CISD and YISD are the DeWitt County Weber Annex at 115 No. Gonzales St., Suite A, in Cuero and the YISD Gymnasium Foyer at 338 W. Main St. in Yorktown. De-Witt County participates in county-wide polling locations so voting can be done at either location regardless of precinct or district.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.
