The Yorktown boys golf team competed at the 2026 2A State Golf Tournament held at Lions Municipal Golf Course, finishing 10th overall after two days of competition Monday, April 27.
After day one, Yorktown tied for ninth place out of 12 teams with a total score of 339. Leading the Wildcats was Kolton Eckhardt, who fired a 77 to tie for 18th individually. He was followed by Kason Sullivan (86), Brody Metting (87), Connor Saunders (89), and Colton Rogers (99).
The team standings aftertheopeninground were led by Mildred with a 299, followed by Crawford (303), Lipan (309), Mason (310), Farwell (313), and New Home (315). Sundown (325) and Lindsay (326) rounded out the middle of the field, while Yorktown and Goldthwaite were tied at 339. Riesel (359) and Frankston (365) completed the standings.
