Yorktown Secondary Campus students showed appreciation for their principal Laura Patek recently. Patek was thanked for her “leadership, support and commitment to the school, its students and teachers and to the community.” In addition to being the principal for YISD’s junior high and high school students, she is the district’s chief academic officer. She was the Elementary School’s principal for five years before taking over the Secondary Campus last July. Patek also writes sports reports for the Cuero Record as a contributing writer.
