GOD first...Heavenly
GOD first...Heavenly Father, we thank You for the rain that has fallen and the grass that has grown in such a short time. For those who were impatient and those of little faith, it is proven again that You work in wonderous ways in answering prayers. Your blessings abound all around us each and every day. We pray for grace and mercy as we seek each new day. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Pray for those who are ill, suffering, grieving, or are in harms way.
Humor Time: Daryl forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was mad. She told him, 'Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds, and it better be there!'
The next morning when his wife woke up, she looked out the window to find a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. She opened it and found a brandnew bathroom scale. Daryl has been missing since Friday. (Thank you, DLF.)

Several of our Kaffee Klatch people were having trouble getting to Nordheim this week as the FM 2980 Road was closed to all traffic from Remmers Road to the entrance of Gilbert Puch. The State is putting in larger square culverts in that area and will be closed until work is finished. The KK was held in one of the side rooms of the parish hall with 17 coffee drinkers crowded together in close quarters because the St. Paul Lutheran Church was set up for the Nordheim ISD 2026 Graduating Class dinner later that evening. We also had a surprise visit from Kermit Koehler and wife Doris. Kermit can walk around with his walker but doesn't drive anymore. Doris had to place him in one of the rest homes in Cuero because he has fallen several times at home, and she couldn't take care of him anymore. But it sure didn't stop him from getting up off his chair and strolling over to Kathy P. and giving his old, old classmate a kiss as they were sweethearts while at good ole Nordheim High. They are looking for someone to give him care at home.
A. J. Pargmann and wife Ali and her mother Kathy Lutz, were here this week visiting Royce and Pat Pargmann. They stayed with Larry and Roberta Hales' home while friends and kinfolk gathered there. Haleybob and Hunter, their children, had to stay home because they had to attend school. Pictures were shared and conversations with them were an added gift. They left for Maddison, Iowa, Saturday morning. See you next week. Let it rain!
