Annual Crops Tour 

The DeWitt County Crops Committee will be hosting their annual Crops Tour on Tuesday, June 9. The program will begin at 3 p.m. at the Gruenau Hall, eight miles north of Yorktown off FM 108. Registration will be between 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Following the Tour Stops the program will conclude with supper back at the Gruenau Hall.

Brunch Buddies & Bingo

Seniors 55 and older are invited to Brunch Buddies and Bingo on Thursday, June 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Education Room at Cuero Regional Hospital. Seniors will enjoy a free meal, healthcare presentation, and a few games of bingo with prizes! RSVP’s are required and open to the first 50 seniors only. Girls Night Out!

5D Tavern will host Girls Night Out featuring music and Bingo free to play June 11 at 8 p.m. Win prizes, sing, dance and have fun. Hosted by Shane and Renee.

CRH Annual Men’s Health Golf Tournament 

Cuero Regional Hospital’s Annual Men's Health Golf Tournament will be held next Saturday, June 13. This is a fantastic event where men play the game they love, while visiting with healthcare pro- fessionals along the way to learn important health care screenings.

Holy Cross Church Vacation Bible School

DeWitt County GOP Executive Committee Meeting 

The DeWitt County GOP Executive Committee will meet Tuesday, June 16, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the GVEC Community Room at 1015 E. Broadway St. in Cuero. All are welcome. Pickleball Camp in Yorktown

Pickleball Camp for all ages will be held in Yorktown City Park June 1719. The camp will offer a fun, relaxed, and educational experience for participants. A modest fee will apply.

Father’s Day Celebration

The Evthing will host “Penchant for Pinups” Sunday, June 21, 12-3 p.m., in celebration of Father’s Day with live music. 511 E. Broadway in Cuero.

Savor the Flavor

The Cuero Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome back “Savor the Flavor,” a signature community event celebrating local food, style, and the businesses that make Cuero unique. This year’s event will take place Thursday, June 25, at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, located at 501 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

Stars & Stripes Summer Social

Enjoy a celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary at Yorktown City Park Saturday, June 27, 5 to 10 p.m. It will start with the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance under the park’s oak tree at 5 p.m. There will be a Patriotic Parade to include pets, wagons and bikes at 5:30 p.m., pie and dessert contest at 6 p.m., salsa and appetizer contest at 6 p.m. and homemade ice cream contest at 6:30 p.m. Other features will be a pet photo contest, live music, foam party, youth truck and car show and hot dogs and food trucks. ‘Rockin with the King’

Search for American Revolution Descendants 

Do you have an ancestor who supported the American Revolution? Help us teach our children and grandchildren their history. On July 3-4, Dewitt County Historical Commission will be celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with patriotic events honoring ancestors who supported the cause for independence. America’s 250th Birthday Parade

The Cuero Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a 250th Birthday Parade for America with floats, golf carts and cars for family and friends Saturday, July 4, at 4 p.m. It will travel up Main Street to City Park. Lineup begins at 3 p.m.

Vacation Bible School 

If you want your child to understand the Bible, Yorktown First Baptist Church will be holding its Bible Alive 2026 (VBS) July 6-10 from 9 a.m. to noon. We'll be studying the Kings and Prophets after King Solomon. Snacks and materials will be provided. All children who have finished kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to attend. Cost: free. Lunch and Learn ‘Practical Social Media’ 

Yorktown Economic Development will host the Small Business Development Center of Texas A&M University–Victoria for a Lunch and Learn session titled Practical Social Media on July 14. Seating is limited to twenty people and lunch will be provided.

Sip & Play Game Night 

The DeWitt Medical Foundation will host Sip & Play Game Night on Friday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at The Venue on Church Street. Guests will enjoy an evening of Catch the Queen, Twisted Bingo, and High Stakes Heads or Tails, dinner, prizes, and cash bar, all benefiting Cuero Regional Hospital. Library/Crown Hospice Senior Social Hour 

Crown Hospice is holding a Senior Social Hour at the Yorktown Public Library on the 1st Tuesday of every month. The social hour begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public. Bingo, prizes and snacks are all provided free of charge. The hosts look forward to you attending.

Family Storytime

Every Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. the Cuero Municipal Library has Family Storytime. This engaging program features crafts, snacks, stories, and fun activities tailored for children aged 0-5.

DeWitt County Shutterbugs

Do you love photography? Do you want to learn more, be inspired, challenged? Do you want to get together with other creative photographers? If so, please join us at a Shutterbugs meeting. Senior Coffee Hour & Social

Cuero VFW Bingo

Cuero VFW Post 3972 has resumed weekly games of Bingo at the Post Home. Games will begin at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds of these games benefit local charities, youth, and veterans in need. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Child Find Evaluations 

School Districts must ensure that a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) is provided for children who are identified as needing special education and related services. Child Find is a process to identify, locate and evaluate individuals from birth to 21 years of age who may need special education and related services. Evaluations for Cuero, Meyersville, Nursery and Westhoff ISD are available through Child Find. Early childhood intervention programs serve children with developmental delays and their families. Eligibility is determined through a team assessment by program staff. Please call Crystal Hamilton at 361-275-1903 to schedule an appointment.

Child Screening Services

Residents of Yorktown, are you aware of a child with problems walking, seeing, moving or thinking? Free screening services are available for children from birth through five years of age. Call 361-564-2252 ext. 3002 for an appointment. Screening will be held at Yorktown Elementary School.

Genealogy Library

Cuero Municipal Library provides free access to Ancestry.com when connected to the library’s internet. Meals on Wheels Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals in the central DeWitt County area for Meals on Wheels South Texas. Meals are delivered once a week on Wednesdays from about 11 a.m. to noon. If you are interested in volunteering you can go to mowstx.org or email volunteer@mowstx. org.
