The Cuero Municipal Library hosted the Summer Kickoff Party to begin the 2026 summer reading program, “Unearth a Story,” on June 5. Kids followed dinosaur tracks to various types of activities such as photos with Dino, face painting, a fossil dig, Dolly Parton free books, and a kiddie train ride. Completed activity sheets were turned in for special prizes and those wanting to participate in the reading program were given instructions for tracking the books read during the summer and the prizes available to them.
