Dorothy Marie Fellers, 94, of Cuero passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born August 13, 1930 in Shiner to Jim and Stacy Kurtz Fric. She married Ellis Fellers Sr. on August 24, 1972. Her long career as a Nurse’s Aide shows a deep commitment to helping those in need, while her love for sitting outside and animals reflects a warm, nurturing spirit.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Hildebrandt, Darlene Elliott, Barbara Lee, Debra White and Brenda Priest; sons, Darrell Aschenbeck and Steven Aschenbeck; brother, Paul Fric; twenty-five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellis; daughters, Bernice Gomez and Annette Perez; son, Arnold Aschenbeck; sister, Theresa Balusek and brothers, Alfred Fric and James Fric.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, 9:00 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church with a rosary to begin at 9:30 AM. Mass will follow the rosary at 10:00 AM with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating and her grandson, Troy White will be the pianist. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Dale Hildebrandt, Kevin Huber, Terry Holster, Arnold Aschenbeck Jr., Douglas White Jr. and Darrell Aschenbeck Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers include Aubrey Martin and Michael Varela.
