I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the 2024 Cuero Chamber Women in Business Luncheon on September 25th. It was a truly inspiring event, made possible by the support of many individuals and businesses within our community. With over 120 local female leaders attending, it was a hit and we are already planning for the 2025 luncheon!
First and foremost, a special thank you to The Venue on Church Street for providing such a beautiful setting for our gathering. A big shout-out goes to Ventura’s Tamales for catering our delicious lunch and to Cuero Pecan House for their delightful desserts. Brooke Jackson with Amen Sis shared her faith and journey, as well as led our invocation before our meal.
We were honored to have Cheryl Johnson deliver an impactful story of her journey starting her business and growth through the process, sharing her insights and experiences with passion and authenticity. Big thanks to Ingra Sparkman for guiding that conversation with Cheryl to create a more conversational environment that resonated with attendees. The thought-provoking presentations by Maggie Cromeens and Teri Moten brought awareness on the topics of grants for women-owned businesses and the impact of AI. The panel discussion, moderated by Emily Weatherly that followed, featured local business women Renee Wilke, Sandra Osman, Annette Rath, and Jennifer Janssen, and inspired many of us to pursue our goals with renewed vigor and to take that chance on new ventures.
