Brennah Rodriguez, Cuero Jr. High 7th grade student, was nominated to enter the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (JIC) national middle school science competition in recognition of her outstanding performance after competing in the Alamo Regional Science & Engineering Fair in San Antonio in February. She submitted her JIC project application recently this summer.
The nomination is a great honor, as it designates the project as among the top 10% of middle school science fair projects in the United States. Each nominee is eligible to apply for the national competition. Brennah was also awarded the 2nd Grand Prize of the Junior Division and advanced to compete as a state finalist in the Texas Science & Engineering Fair at Texas A&M University.
As an entrant in the Thermo Fisher JIC, Brennah is now a member of the Society for Science alumni community.
