I read something not long ago that went like this; “A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can’t go anywhere till you change it.” What words could be truer when someone is trying to advance their status among family, friends, and co-workers.

I read something not long ago that went like this; “A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can’t go anywhere till you change it.”

What words could be truer when someone is trying to advance their status among family, friends, and co-workers. Everyone knows that when a car has a flat tire that you can continue to drive on it, but it will destroy the tire and possibly break or weaken something else on the car. The same holds true with a bad attitude when it is not corrected especially among family and friends. You can lose both if you don’t recognize it is your attitude problem instead of blaming everything on everyone else.

Victor Frankl once said; “We have a right to choose our attitude.” It is our choice each morning when we arise to face the day what kind of attitude we are going to display. One never knows exactly what kind of day we will experience but we can determine if we are going to smile at people, be grateful for what we have, speak to others but more importantly listen to people as they speak to us, comprehend what they are saying to us, and above all pray for a discerning spirit that we may be an encourager to all we meet.
