Pet Adoptions of Cuero canines are inviting all pets – cat, dog, rabbit or Chupacabras to pull out their best Halloween costumes in preparation for the 6th Annual Pet Costume contest hosted by Cuero Main Street and Farmer’s Market events.

This pre Halloween pet parade takes place on Saturday, October 26, during the big Market on Main/Farmer’s Market. Bring your costumed pet to strut on the red carpet for the judges and win one of several titles – Best Rescue, Best Small, Best Large, Best Family, Most Unusual and People’s Choice. Entry fee is only $10 and each pet can enter multiple eligible categories. There will be prizes and bragging rights for the winners of each category. It's an easy entry on the day of the event from 9-10 a.m. under the canopy in front of Cuero City Hall.

And new this year is the Children’s Costume Contest: dress up the kiddo’s to show off their original, unique, scary or traditional outfits for the panel of judges. There are two divisions – ages 1 to 7 and 8 to 12.
