Friday, Oct 11 the Wildcats hosted the Pettus Eagles for their homecoming matchup. Two fumbles and an interception kept the Eagles in the game early on, but the Wildcats amassed a hefty lead by halftime, 42-19.
During the halftime homecoming performance Laynie Boyd escorted by Rylan Rau was crowned queen.
After the first period the Yorktown squad led, 14-7. Brody Metting scored off a one yard run and two yard run, after the Eagles had scored on an 18 yard fumble return. Next Pettus executed off of an interception. Taking the ball over on their own 30 yard line the Eagles scored with 11:19 remaining in the second quarter but the kick failed, 14-13. Late in the second the Wildcats scored when Brody Metting connected with Mathew Olguin, 21-13.
