Dear Editor, On behalf of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation board of directors, I would like to thank the community of Cuero for its support of the 2024 “Concert for Classrooms,” which was held on November 9, at the Cuero ISD Performing Arts Center.
Because of the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, proceeds from the event will benefit Cuero ISD in the form of grants to educators for resources, projects, and programs outside the scope of traditional school funding. Benefits from the proceeds also include helping the Foundation grow its endowment while covering its operating expenses.
I also want to acknowledge and offer our appreciation to our board and the host of volunteers who gave of their time and talent to both help and encourage us along the way.
This year’s Concert for Classrooms held a special significance as we honored Debra Baros, who left us with a legacy of service and education. We will continue to celebrate her memory with a special display of one of her iconic hats. All donor names will be featured with the hat display at the Cuero ISD Administration Building. Your support will help perpetuate her legacy through the Debra Baros Scholarship Fund, empowering students to pursue their dreams.
