Students at Westhoff School have been working hard preparing for their annual Veterans Day program. On Tuesday, November 6, the students in grades 5th-8th traveled to the Westhoff Cemetery to join members of the Westhoff American Legion Auxiliary to put flags on veterans’ graves.
This year, the school added a patriotic art contest for 3rd – 5th grades. Students in 6th-8th grade participate yearly in the Patriot Pen. However, this year, the school added an additional writing contest. The theme for the contest was “Thank You Veterans.”
The school looks forward to honoring those who selflessly served our country.
