Yorktown finished third in District 15 2A Division II. The Wildcats will face the Badgers from Ben Bolt for Bi-District 2A- Division II playoffs. They are scheduled to play in Beeville on Friday, Nov 15 with kickoff set at 7 p.m.
Ben Bolt is 3-1 in district play and has an overall 7-3 season record. Preseason losses include Odem and Freer. They lost to LaVilla in district, therefore finishing as runner up in District 16 2A-Division II. Their district consists of LaVilla, Woodsboro, Agua Dulce, Bruni, and Ben Bolt. Victories for the Badgers include wins over Monte Alto, Bloomington, Pettus, John Paul II, Bruni, Agua Dulce, and Woodsboro.
Ben Bolt has 8 offensive and 9 defensive starters returning from last year’s squad that went 5-6 and 2-3 in district. This year they dropped down a division to 2A-Division II. According to Dave Campbell's Football Magazine, “The trenches will be patrolled by Goodman on the offensive line and defensive line and Louis Sill is a dual threat recording 471 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, and 429 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns last season.”
Recent stats show that Cristian Chapa has taken over this year at the quarterback position as a sophomore. He has tallied 1772 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns, with a .594 completion percentage. He has passed 138 times with 82 completions, averaging 21 yards per completion His main target is Darius Elizade who has accumulated 779 receiving yards.
This series matchup has only occurred one other time in 2009 and resulted in a grudge match with Yorktown narrowly winning, 3332.
Yorktown has a 3-2 district record and the Wildcat team has 378 carries for 2763 rushing yards and 44 rushing touchdowns, 63 catches out of 111 attempts, .57 completion percentage, 646 passing yards, and 4 passing touchdowns.

Topping the leaderboard in receptions is Matthew Olguin with 19 catches for 270 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.
Defensively, Adam Serbin, Richard Flores, and Rylan Rau will look to cause havoc while Brayden Knostman, Olguin, Daylon Meyer, and Ethan Fitts will look to exploit the Badgers passing game by adding interceptions to their stat totals.
