Six hour CEU event to be held in Cuero

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of DeWitt County, De-Witt County Beef and Forage Committee and Cuero Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture are sponsoring a 6 Hour CEU Event to be held on Tuesday, December 3. The program will be held at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, located in the Cuero City Park attached to the Friar Ag Center. Registration will take place between 7:00-8:00 a.m. with the program starting promptly at 8:00 a.m. Participants need to RSVP to attend this event, as there will be a noon meal. RSVP to the DeWitt Co. Extension Office by Wednesday, November 27th. Please be sure to show up early enough to allow time for registration. Other financial sponsors for the event are DeWitt County Producers Association (CO-OP), Ful-O-Pep, and DeWitt County Farm Bureau.

Program topics and guest speakers include: Corteva Agriscience Weed and Brush Control Products Update Bryce Macdonald, Corteva Agriscience Range & Pasture Specialist Texas Pesticide Laws and Regulations Melissa Barton, Pesticide Inspector – Texas Department of Agriculture Envu Weed and Brush Control Products Update Rob Brooks, Envu Range & Pasture Specialist Using Drones for Weed & Brush Control Justin Hale – Director of Operations, Ignition Land Services Identification & Management of Kissing Bugs and the Chigas Disease and Managing Desert Termites in Pastureland Dr. Robert Puckett – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Entomologist Live Drone Spraying Demonstration (Outside) Justin Hale – Director of Operations, Ignition Land Services There will be a $35.00 per person fee charged. There will be light snacks in the morning and a noon meal. Six (6) CEU’s will be offered for private, commercial, and non-commercial applicators license holders.
