City workers, setting up Christmas decorations in the Cuero City Park, have noticed guide wires cut and stars unplugged on sections previously installed, according to Cuero Development Corporation Director Maggie Cromeens.
“Just random stuff,” Cromeens said, describing signs knocked over as well as the electrical interference. “A lot of these displays are in memory of loved ones, so it’s a sensitive area.”
Employees from the City of Cuero and Stephenson Unit workers have been able to repair the damaged wires, but Cromeens said it’s time consuming to rework and redo it.
