This pretty little dog has a sad back story. Napoleon is a 2-year-old Pomeranian mix canine who had the misfortune of being mauled by some larger dogs.
He is the typical example of many 'intakes' that come to Pet Adoptions of Cuero. Cats or dogs that will obviously need vet care seem to turn up loose or abandoned. Then good or kind Samaritans bring them to the Cuero pet rescue in hopes they will get vet care for their injuries, wounds or illnesses. The non profit shelter has been blessed by sponsors and supporters. Most often PAOC is able to step in and help so that no pet is in pain and will have a second chance. If this little guy had been neutered it is doubtful that he would have been attacked by other male dogs in search of a fe-male. Hint - this is another important reason to make sure every male and female pet is spayed or neutered.
But the good news is: Napoleon is totally on the mend, his fur is re-filling in nicely. He has no infections and he truly needs some human love and attentiovn. He loves people and is a true people pleaser. He weighs about 12 pounds, is small in stature and has the most beautiful reddish coat. Come see this little cuddle buddy soon at Pet Adoptions of Cuero, 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero. The shelter is open every day of the year from 8 till noon or call for a late afternoon appointment 361-243-8550.
