Eugueno Rios, 76, went to his forever home on November 17, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on September 15, 1948, in Moody, TX, to Domingo Rios and Adela Guzman Rios. Eugene, affectionately known by his family and friends as Jeep, Caño, and Geno, was devoted to his loving wife Linda of 52 years. Eugene and Linda met in February 1972 at Yorktown City Park; it was love at first sight. They were inseparable and enjoyed going on road trips, working in the yard together, and embarking on their many ice cream adventures. Eugene showed constant love to his children, grandchildren, and entire family.

Eugene's life was filled with beautiful memories, like the time he was the first to climb a tree on Easter to retrieve a volleyball, delighting everyone with his adventurous spirit. He was always ready to assist, whether it was fixing a flat tire or providing a tire gauge. Eugene also enjoyed painting and crafting things to make their yard at the ranch beautiful.

He looked forward to attending his grandkids' games, no matter the distance, and was always their biggest fan. He was incredibly excited for his first granddaughter Laycee’s college graduation and now has the best seat in the house. Eugene loved the simple things in life, like cruising around listening to oldies, barbecuing his famous “cowboy” chicken, going to thrift stores with his kids and grandkids, and visiting with all his family. He always made it a point to visit all of his family, ensuring he stayed connected with everyone. He was known for always winning card games played with family, showcasing his sharp mind and playful spirit. Eugene truly never met a stranger. His sense of humor will be deeply missed; his favorite movie was *Norbit*, which he always quoted, earning him the funny nickname 'Norbie' from his family.

Eugene loved Jesus and prayed faithfully. In his final moments, he made sure to tell everyone by his side, “Love y’all all.” He also told his family to wipe their tears. Eugene was the definition of selflessness, sacrificing his own comfort for others, no matter how much pain he endured. His love, silliness, hugs, and kisses will be profoundly missed. He was the best husband, father, grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.

To be loved by him was the greatest gift God could give us.

He is survived by his wife Linda Rios, daughter Rachel (Mark) Guerrero, son Eugene Jr. Rios, grandchildren: Laycee (Victor) Kay Mariscal, Esten Vae Rios, Mark Anthony Guerrero, Rainley Kay Rios, Baylee Kay Guerrero, Payslee Kay Guerrero, Devlin Dean Rios- Bemis, Raulie Gene Rios-Bemis, Khloe Rose Rios-Bemis, and great-granddaughter Anilah Armstrong.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
