Hello All, Busy week coming up this week: regular City Council meeting tonight (12/9) and the Stevenson Unit begins Day #1 of an American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation audit. Tuesday (12/10) will see meeting #3 of the Mayor’s Youth Council and a get together event for Key City officials and the Auditors conducting the Stevenson Unit ACA accreditation audit. On Wednesday (12/11) I will be delivering welcome remarks to Cuero for attendees of a Foster Parent event at the Chisholm Trail Heritage museum. On Thursday evening (12/12) the City of Cuero Christmas and appreciation event will take place, and of course on Friday and Saturday, (12/13-14) Christmas Downtown will be in full swing. Please visit YOUR downtown businesses or just come out and enjoy a little time out of the house.
This past Saturday (12/7), I volunteered four hours at Christmas in the Park’s Santa House, collecting donations and greeting visitors. The flow was steady and I met folks from all over Texas who had heard of or have visited the Christmas in the Park before.
I recently participated in a zoom call with executive producers of the Discovery channels Expedition X series. Film crews will be in the Cuero area in early January shooting B-roll, conducting interviews on Chupacabra sightings in the area.
