Verda Mae Foerster, 87, of Yorktown, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024. She was born June 12, 1937 in Yorktown to Albert and Vera Emma Geffert Podsim. She married the love of her life Edgar J. Foerster on July 19, 1959.
She is survived by her husband Edgar J. Foerster, daughter Pamela (Larry) Mokwa and son Kurt (Anna) Foerster. She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather and Jonathon Mokwa, Trent, Reece and Maesen Foerster, brothers Albert (JoNell) Podsim, Melvin (Brenda) Podsim and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her by parents, brother Gary (Lana) Podsim, many family members and friends.
Visitation 9-10 am Thursday, December 19, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral service 10 am Thursday, December 19, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment to follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Mokwa, Trent Foerster, Randall Podsim, Scott Podsim, Lance Mueller, and Paul Gaida. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters; Heather, Reece, and Maesen, nieces and nephews, Keri Hilbrich and Cody Gregory.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
