Burn Ban Lifted

The DeWitt County Burn Ban expired on January 2nd, according to the DeWitt County Office of Emergency Management and Floodplain Administration & Cuero Volunteer Fire Department. You are now able to burn outside responsibly.

The DeWitt County Burn Ban expired on January 2nd, according to the DeWitt County Office of Emergency Management and Floodplain Administration & Cuero Volunteer Fire Department.

You are now able to burn outside responsibly. Notify De Witt County Sheriff's office PRIOR TO BURNING.

1. You can only burn when the wind speeds are between 6mph and 23mph.

2. You can only burn between sunrise and sunset, so during daylight hours.

3. The burn must be attended to, and water must be readily accessible.

4. You may not burn any prohibited plastics, treated lumber, electrical insulation, asphaltic materials, chemical wastes, non-wood construction/ demolition materials, heavy oils, items containing natural or synthetic rubber, potentially explosive materials, and petroleum products.
